Jonathan Curtis Naftzger
August 17, 1983 – November 22, 2020

It is with great sadness that the family of Jonathan Curtis Naftzger announces his sudden passing at the age of 37 on November 22, 2020 at his home in Pensacola.
Jon will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Ronda and Steve Redinger; his sisters, Angie Jacobs (Matt) and Sarah Pineda (Daniel). Jon will be fondly remembered by his 6 nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.
Jonathan was humble, grateful, and understanding. He loved hard, forgave fully, and spent his last years speaking life into everyone he could. He had a scripture verse for every situation and brought so much joy to his family and friends. His influence of love and faith will not stop at his death. Jon loved fishing, riding dirt bikes, 4-wheelers and tinkering with small engines. He loved to cook and spend time with his family.
His remains will be sent to Aasum-Dufour Funeral Home in Albany, Oregon. A private memorial will be held in in the Spring of 2021.
His family asks that you share any memories you have of Jon on the tribute wall.
We are grateful to Pensacola Teen Challenge for their amazing ministry. Memorial donations in memory of Jon can be made to Pensacola Teen Challenge through their website or Facebook page.

He gave the best advice. He truly knew what matters most in this world, family! He never held a grudge against anyone. He was quick to offer forgiveness and encouraged me to do so as well. He was generous. Even in times when he had nothing he found away to give the most meaningful gifts. He checked in with me often to see how I was and always told me he loved me. We would share memories of our childhood and just crack up at how mean we were to each other and the crazy things we did! My life is changed because of your impact on me. I will miss you everyday bro❤️

Remember You and Steve are strong and Jon likes it when you are happy. You will get through this. Keep focused on your future and your beautiful companion, Sophie. I love you with all my heart and look forward to being able to get back to normal so we can spend time together again. God bless you.

I will always cherish the time we spent together. Whether it was at home watching our shows, enjoying a delicious meal that he prepared, walking on nature trails, or him convincing me to ride on the back of his dirt bike, everything Jon did was done with absolute joy in his heart. He brought me closer to God and for that I am eternally thankful. It is also because of that fact that I know I will see him again one day. Jon will be missed beyond measure and loved forever. Rest in peace my love.

Jon was a great friend & brother who I had the privilege to serve along side while interning at Teen Challenge Pensacola. Jon inspired me to bike ride through trails and around town. We had many fond memories on our bike rides in 2020 despite everything else going on in the world. We were greatly encouraged in the Lord and the goodness He gave each of us. Today I’m known around town as ‘the pastor on the bike.’ If it were not for Jon and his companionship this year I would not be touching lives in this unique way. Thank you Jon. Gosh, I miss you GREATLY. I’ve experienced a loss for now and am grieved in my flesh. Nevertheless my beloved friend, my spirit rejoices knowing I will certainly see you at Jesus feet some day soon. I love you. I love you. I TRULY love you; my friend, my brother. To God be the glory.
