1935 – 2020
Theresa Georgiana Medeiros McCollough, 84 went to be with our Heavenly Father on October 21, 2020. She was born on November 5th, 1935 in Seekonk, Mass., to her parents, Antone and Georgiana Medeiros.
Theresa was a loving mom and a seamstress that worked endlessly. She volunteered at the Manna Food Bank, was a part of the American Legion, the Jail Ministry- Homebound Ministry, and she belonged to Bellview Baptist Church. Theresa enjoyed doing the work of God. She was raised Catholic but had converted to Baptist when she got married.
Theresa is met at the gates of Heaven by both her parents, Antone and Georgiana Medeiros; brother, Johnny Medeiros; her sisters, Alice, Arlene, and Irene Medeiros; husband, Lester McCollough, Oscar G. Koone; son in law, Robert F. Koons III; sister in law, Virginia Lacina; brother in law, Howard Koone; other aunts, uncles, friends.
She leaves to cherish her memories and to carry on her tradition’s brothers, Tony and Raymond Medeiros; daughters, Patricia A. Koons (of Boca Raton, FL), and Joann Koone (of Pensacola, FL); grandchildren, Jennifer (Choua) Curley, Victoria (Matthew) Gilbert, Robert F. Koons IV, Joseph Ryan Koone, Jessica (Pedro) Melendez, and John Thomas Robert Lynn (Courtney); great grandchildren, Nolen Ty Gilbert, Alyssa Ashley Gilbert, Blake West Gilbert, Sophia Joann Melendez, and Noah Germain Melendez; Sister in law, Virgina Koone; niece, Dixie Lee (Gerald) Snodgrass; great nieces, Brandi (Chris) Walker, and Ivy (Van) Vanlandingham; many more nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Theresa will be dearly missed, but we all know this is not goodbye…. This is we will see you again latter.
A going home celebration will be held at Bellview Baptist Church on Monday, October 26th, 2020. With a visitation beginning at 12:30 pm, and the service following at 1:30 pm. Theresa will be laid to rest at Bellview Baptist Church Cemetery.
