Obituary

Alfred Bert LeGault
1946 - 2020

Alfred Bert LeGault, 74, of Pensacola, FL passed away on October 20, 2020 surrounded by his loved ones. Al was born on September 24, 1946 in Lynn MA, to Alfred E. LeGault and Marie-Antoinette (LeMay) LeGault.

Al was a very accomplished man, a visionary and extremely mechanically inclined. He served his Country as a Naval Fire Control Technician on the USS Turner Joy in the Gulf of Tonkin conflict and the USS Truxton who responded to the USS Pueblo emergency. In his youth, he ran track & played the accordion. He graduated from the University of West Florida with a Degree in Business Management. Because of his love of the water and sailboats, he achieved his Captains license from the US Coast Guard. In his spare time, he volunteered at the Pensacola VA and Kiwanis Club; and was an avid collector of Patriotic memorabilia (Make America Great Again). Whenever you asked him how he was doing, “Borderline Fantastic” was his comeback.

Alfred is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred E. and Marie-Antoinette LeGault.

He is survived by his loving wife, Martha (Wilson) LeGault; siblings, Donna Fitzpatrick, Dale Cuddy and Jeffrey LeGault; children, Angela Ruidl, Annette Maloney, Andy LeGault; step-daughters, Angela Channell, Renee Hutcherson Cone and Sonja Chavez; 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many cousins.

The family would like to thank Ascension Sacred Heart ICU, Covent Hospice, and various nursing homes in the area.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Covenant Hospice of Pensacola or a Disabled Veteran charity.

I will always remember Grandpa’s visits in his Semi. I thought it was the coolest thing as a kid who hadn’t seen much outside of WI. Rest In Peace Grandpa - you will be missed!
Your grandson,
Shane

Al was a great neighbor who was very generous with his time and talent. He could fix or make anything and always did it with a smile, never expecting anything in return. He will be greatly missed.
