1946 - 2020
Alfred Bert LeGault, 74, of Pensacola, FL passed away on October 20, 2020 surrounded by his loved ones. Al was born on September 24, 1946 in Lynn MA, to Alfred E. LeGault and Marie-Antoinette (LeMay) LeGault.
Al was a very accomplished man, a visionary and extremely mechanically inclined. He served his Country as a Naval Fire Control Technician on the USS Turner Joy in the Gulf of Tonkin conflict and the USS Truxton who responded to the USS Pueblo emergency. In his youth, he ran track & played the accordion. He graduated from the University of West Florida with a Degree in Business Management. Because of his love of the water and sailboats, he achieved his Captains license from the US Coast Guard. In his spare time, he volunteered at the Pensacola VA and Kiwanis Club; and was an avid collector of Patriotic memorabilia (Make America Great Again). Whenever you asked him how he was doing, “Borderline Fantastic” was his comeback.
Alfred is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred E. and Marie-Antoinette LeGault.
He is survived by his loving wife, Martha (Wilson) LeGault; siblings, Donna Fitzpatrick, Dale Cuddy and Jeffrey LeGault; children, Angela Ruidl, Annette Maloney, Andy LeGault; step-daughters, Angela Channell, Renee Hutcherson Cone and Sonja Chavez; 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many cousins.
The family would like to thank Ascension Sacred Heart ICU, Covent Hospice, and various nursing homes in the area.
