Obituary

Doris W. Kell age 85 of Milton, Florida moved her residence to Heaven located on a street of gold on August 26. Waiting to welcome her home was her husband George Kell, along with many other family members. Doris had been looking forward to this move for many years and her family is celebrating the fulfillment of an eternal promise made to her by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

She is survived by her four sons; Mike (Susan) Kell of Andalusia, Alabama, David (Lisa) Kell of Jay, Florida, Greg (Darla) Kell of Inverness, Florida and Roger (Kim) Kell of Milton, Florida. She has 13 grandchildren and a bunch of great grandchildren with a new one coming soon! She is also survived by 2 brothers and a sister along with many other extended family members.

Doris was a Pastor's wife for 49 years. She taught school at East Milton Elementary School for 19 years and retired in 1997. After retirement she enjoyed volunteering at Santa Rosa Hospital and The Kids House and loved the Ladies Sunday School class at New Life Baptist Church. She is best described as faithful and a servant, never desiring recognition or personal praise. Her family knew her as a counselor who had a gift of sharing her wisdom with a slightly sharpened wit.

A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, August 30 at Trahan Funeral Home in Milton, Florida. Visitation will be offered to the public at 1:30 pm with the service to begin at 2:00 pm in the chapel. Burial will follow at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery, her childhood church home. Please join the Kell family as they give thanks for the wonderful life of a Proverbs 31 woman.

In lieu of flowers the family would encourage you to purchase a gift card and give it to your favorite pastor to bless his family.
