Samuel L. Davis spent a lifetime building, serving as SRC first building inspector and Public Service Director. On August 11, 2020, he found “a city which has foundation; whose architect and builder is God” Hebrews 11:10
In heaven he will enjoy the company of his deceased wife, Janice Davis, his beloved son, Samuel “Sammy” L. Davis, Jr. and best friend, Buddy, as well as many other friends, relatives, and most importantly Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Sam is survived by his son Gary (Tammy) Davis, Tammie “Bonzy” Moye, and W.H. “Billy” (Pam) Moye; grandchildren and fishing buddies: Kevin Davis, Amanda Davis, RayAnn Free, Jackson Free, and Sydney Moye; sisters Catherine Morris and Luverne Davis as well as many other relatives.
Funeral service will be held at Trahan Funeral Home in Milton, Florida. Visitation is at 9:30 am with service at 10:00a.m. on Friday, August 14, 2020. Interment will be held at Serenity Garden Cemetery.
Honorary Pallbearer: Mr. Harold Raines, beloved friend, and roommate.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Century Health and Rehab employees for pampering and the care given to Sam during the last few years. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to Dr. C. David Smith for all the extra love and superb medical care. Sam was truly blessed to have Dr. Smith as his physician and friend.
In lieu of flowers the family request a donation of Gideon Bibles. Sam served as a Gideon for many years.
