Charles Phillip Heck
1960-2020
Today we said goodbye to our brother, uncle and friend Charles, who passed away May 18, 2020. Charles was born November 2, 1960, in Fort Walton Beach, FL and was the youngest child born to the late Patricia (Gerlach) Heck and Kenneth L. Heck, Sr.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his aunts, uncle and a great niece. He is survived by his family who will miss him terribly, including his brother, Kenneth (Susanne) Heck, Jr of Perdido Key, FL; sister, Kathy (Duane) Whitley of Crestview, FL; niece, Tracey (Jonas) Chapman and great nephew, Joey Chapman of Greenwood, IN.
Charles was a graduate of Fort Walton Beach High School. His greatest passions in life were his family, career, sports, and the beautiful Florida beaches. His entire career was spent in the grocery industry. He was most recently employed as Produce Manager at Winn Dixie in Panama City Beach and took great pride in his staff and his work. Charles would often amaze his family with his knowledge of sports trivia, especially about major league baseball and his favorite college football team, the FSU Seminoles. Those lucky enough to know Charles knew of his great love of our beaches and could find him there most every day off or after work.
According to his wishes, no service will be held. Everyone who knew him is asked to celebrate Charles in their own special way.
He told his family more than once, he loved his life and had no regrets. We can all honor him and live our lives the same way.
Online condolences and memories may be shared at Trahan Family Funeral home (trahanfamilyfuneralhome.com)
