Glen E. Harris
1939 – 2020
Glen E. Harris, 80, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 24, 2020. He was born to his parents, Evis and Leona Harris on August 13, 1939, in Dresden, TN.
He joined the U.S. Navy at a young age and served on several ships. During his years of service, he did tours in the Vietnam and Antarctica; after retiring from the Navy he went on to drive 18 wheelers.
Glen was a member of the Masonic Lodge 32nd degree, an active Shriner, and a proud member of the Antique Car Unit.
He is preceded in death by both his parents, Evis and Leona Harris; sister, Lou Mays; and infant nephew, Mark Crawford.
Glen is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Gail; son, Glen E. Harris, Jr. (Abby); daughters, Barbara Browder and Lori; stepsons, Bill (Paula) McGreevy and Jim (Paige) McGreevy; sisters, Bonnie Puckett and Brenda Harris; 9 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; also numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and brothers in the lodge and shrine.
He was a Husband, Father, Brother, Friend who will be missed dearly. Glen will be laid to rest with Military Honors.
Glen’s service will be held on Monday, March 30, 2020, at Trahan Family Funeral Home in Pensacola. His visitation will start at 11:00, with the service following at 12:00. Internment will be at Barrancas National Cemetery.
