Martin Luther Best, 74, of Perdido, Fl, passed away on March 9, 2020. He was born on March 4, 1946 to Marion and Dorothy Best. Martin graduated from Escambia High School in 1964 and went on to serve 14 years in the United States Air Force. He worked his way up to Staff Sergeant before retiring. He went on to get an associate degree in Health Information Management in 1996. He went on to work for various companies, in which he worked his way up to Director of Medical Records. In his free time, he enjoyed baseball, going fishing and being a part of the Bad Boys Rod & Custom Car Club.
Martin was preceded in death by his father, Marion Best; mother, Dorothy (Best) Register; stepfather, Ken Register; and sister, Susan Jester.
He is survived by his son, Charles Best; sister, Sandra Mitchell; brother, Christopher Best; soulmate, Janet Saunders; her son and daughter-in-law, Cooper and Tiffany; granddaughter “Leadfoot”; his friends in the Bad Boys Rod & Custom Car Club; along with many other family and friends who will miss him dearly.
The celebration of life service for Martin will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Trahan Family Funeral Home, with the visitation being from 5:30 pm-7:00 pm, and Air Force Honors being at 6:00 pm.
