Ismael T. Damaso, 70, of Pensacola passed away on Monday, March 2, 2020. He was born in the Philippines to Pedro Damaso, Sr and Saturnina Tagadiad on August 27, 1949.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Damaso; sons Majong, Joseph, and Reynald Damaso; daughters, Milyn Galemore (Oryan) and Ferdilyn Leary (James); and grandchildren, Jordan, Leanna, Joshua, Oryan, Jr, Fiana, Juliana and Brock.
Ismael leaves behind a legacy of strong will and perseverance shown by his struggle to get his family to the states. After getting here, one day he decided to journey out on his bicycle to find a church for his family so that they may thank Jesus for their fortunes. He found First United Methodist Church. They welcomed the family with open arms and gave shelter and memories over the years. Ismael always put family first and tried to make sure they had the best he could offer.
Even though it felt as if he was being to overprotective, he just wanted to make sure we all felt his love. Hopefully wherever he may be, he can feel our love for him that he may go on in peace.
