Obituary

Josephine Salmi Langevin, 76, passed away in Pensacola, Florida on February 12, 2020. She was born on January 24, 1944 in Naples, Italy to Maria and Vincenzo Salmi. Maria and Vincenzo had eight children with Josephine being the oldest, followed by Enrico, Antonio, Biaggio “Giggione”, Eleonora, Fulvio, Gennaro, and Salvatore “Sasá”. On December 10, 1961, she married the love of her life- Virgil T. Langevin. She was the mother of Vincent, David, Gary, Veronica, Katusha, and John.
With Virgil being in the Navy, they got to travel the world. After Virgil retired from the Navy, Josephine became a restaurateur, opening Josie’s Golden Triangle in Naples, Italy. After fifteen successful years, they decided to sell the restaurant, move back to the United States, and retired in Pensacola, Florida. Josephine was an animal lover, and loved her precious pet dog Speedy.
She is survived by her children- Vincent Langevin (Alicia) spouse, David Langevin (Rosa) spouse, Gary Langevin (Heather) spouse, Veronica Langevin, Katusha Perez (Alexis) spouse, and John Langevin; eighteen grandchildren- Paul, Brian, Sammy, Vincent, Matthew, Andrew, Taryn, Thecla, Anthony, David, Francis, Angela, Anna, James, Sarina, Maria, Julian, and Camila; eleven great-grandchildren; and her loyal compainion, Speedy.
Josephine was the matriarch of her family- a loving mother, daughter, wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She leaves behind a legacy of chefs and entrepeneurs, all who will miss her dearly.

Le sopravvivono i suoi figli- Vincent Langevin (Alicia), David Langevin (Rosa), Gary Langevin (Heather), Veronica Langevin, Katusha Perez (Alexis), e John Langevin; diciotto nipoti-Paul, Brian, Sammy, Vincent, Matthew, Andrew, Taryn, Thecla, Anthony, David, Francis, Angela, Anna, James, Sarina, Maria, Julian e Camila; e undici pronipoti.
