Marvin Jarel Parker, 84, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, in Pensacola, Florida. Marvin was born in Milton, Florida on March 27, 1935 to Maggie Walls Parker and Israel Parker. He was the last child of 10 children.
Marvin joined Isaiah Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church at an early age. He attended J B. Turner and T. R. Jackson High School before enlisting in the United States Army where he served his country for 4 years.
Marvin was employed by Avis Rental Car until his retirement and later became self-employed as a mechanic.
Marvin was preceded in death by his wife, Amanda Parker; parents, Maggie and Israel Parker and his daughter, Wanda Parker.
He is survived by his sons, Dion Parker and Marcus Parker; grandson, Cameron Archie; sister, Mary Bell Hill; nieces: Margaret Beasley, Gleta Green, Angela Brewton, Sheila (Richard) James and Deborah Hill; nephews: George (Linda) Hill Jr., Marvin Arness Hill, James Hill, Rodney Hill, Terrace Hill, Bobby Hill, Donnie Salter and Shawn Salter, as well as several great-nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his devoted companion, Sandra Moss, who he always gave thanks to for being a loving part of his life for many years.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 pm, February 15, 2020, at Isaiah Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, 5038 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Milton, FL with Presiding Elder, Rev. Anthony R. Scott. Interment will follow at Milton Keyser Cemetery with Trahan Family Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
