Obituary

Dorothy “Dot” Jean McCormack
September 14, 1931-January 27, 2020

Dorothy “Dot” Jean (Myers) Mc Cormack, 88, of Pensacola, Fl passed away on Monday, January 27, 2020. She was born in West Orange, NJ to her parents, James and Loretta Kelly, on September 14, 1931. She was a devoted Navy wife and mother and traveled with her husband on tours to France and the Philippines. She was a resident of Pensacola since 1965. After 28 years in Civil Service at NAS Pensacola, she retired from Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station (NCTS) in 1993 as a Computer Specialist. Dorothy was dedicated to her family. She also loved to travel and shop. Her passion for helping others led her to volunteer for Hospice and she worked tirelessly for their annual garage sale fundraiser.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband David (Dave) and her first husband James (Jim) Myers.
She is survived by her brother Richard Kelly (Ann), her two daughters Michelle Myers and Lee Ann Matthews (Mark), son James Myers (Angie), three grandchildren Chris Matthews (Mayra), Kaity Myers, and JP Myers (Lauren), great-grandchildren Emma, Lakynn, and Ruby Matthews, and very special friend Jean Libbey.
Internment conducted by Trahan Family Funeral Home will be at Barrancas National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Covenant Hospice of Pensacola in her name.
