In loving memory of Anthony Hill, born on January 3, 1957 in Pace, Florida. He departed this world on January 13, 2020 in Pace, Florida.
Tony was born and raised in Pace. He attended Pace High school and graduated in 1976. He was well known for being an outstanding star Football athlete. After high school, Tony went into the U.S. Army where he dedicated 14 years of his life. During that time, he was sent to Washington, Kentucky, South East Asia (Korea), Germany, and Iraq (Saudi Arabia). Tony received honors for renewing the heroic traditions of the American citizen-soldier through service in support of Operation Desert Storm (Gulf War) of 1991. Tony received many medals and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army.
Tony was well known all over the Pace and Milton community. After the military, he worked several jobs. He was a hard-working man, always helping others with whatever needed to be done. Tony made friends and family no matter where he was.
Tony was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Many young and old considered Tony as family because of his love, his friendliness, his compassion, his loyalty, and his ability to give, even if it was his last.
Tony was preceded in death by his loving parents: Matthew (Pike) Hill and Ethel Mae Bush-Hill and two brothers: Eddie Lee Hill and Henry Armstrong
Tony is survived by his beloved daughter Ashanti “Wanky” Hill-Kee, son-in-law Keith Kee and grandchildren: Khloe, Daetyn, Kash, Chanze of DeFuniak Springs, FL; two step-daughters: Cecilia “CC” Paul Quiles (Rey) of Orlando, FL and Kristin “Odie” Patrick (Kanye) of DeFuniak Springs; three brothers and two sisters: Charlotte Edwards, Jimmy (Margarita) Hill, Matthew (Pam) Hill, Harry (Louise) Hill, Mary Ann Hill; a host of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family members and close friends.
He will truly be missed.
