Charles Lawrence “Charlie” Isaac
1940 – 2020
Charles Lawrence “Charlie” Isaac, 79, of Pensacola went home to be with the Lord on January 11, 2020. He was born on July 4, 1940 to Charles W. and Navadas Isaac in Knoxville, TN.
Even though, he has lived the last 20 years in Pensacola he lived previously in Letcher County, KY.
Charlie was a faithful Free Will Baptist. He was a member of Beulah Free Will Baptist Church.
Family was very important to him especially their spiritual wellbeing. He had an earnest prayer life for each of his family members. In his free time, he loved being with his family and fishing.
He served in the Navy for 12 years fighting the Vietnam war where he received many metals.
After the military he turned his life over to God in his 30's and had a zeal for God. He had been involved in many ministries to include the prison ministry and was senior pastor. Charlie had a love for God which shone through to everyone he met. He had a burning desire to share Jesus with all he met. He loved his church family and fellow Christian neighbors dearly
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Nevadas Isaac; brother, Dan Isaac; wife, Brenda; and granddaughter, Sarah.
Charlie will be fondly remembered by four siblings: Glena Palm, Neva Isaac, Genia Burke, David Isaac; four children: Frank (Sharyn) Mary, Charles, Leah; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until funeral service begins at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Trahan Family Funeral Home, Pensacola with burial at Hatcher Cemetery in Freeport, FL.
