Michael Nathen Casey

Michael Nathen Casey, 64, of Pensacola, Florida passed away on December 31, 2019.
He was born on October 13, 1955 to Elbert and Betty Jean Casey in Little Rock, Arkansas. Michael moved to Monroe, Louisiana prior to joining the Navy. He married Catherine and had three children. After 20 years of service to the Navy, he retired as a First-Class Petty Officer. In his free time, he enjoyed going camping with his grandchildren.
Michael was preceded in death by his mom- Betty Jean Casey, dad- Elbert Casey, and sister Pat Eason.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years- Catherine Casey; daughters- Michelle Messer, and Wilma Broadley; son- Scott Casey; son-in-law: Chris Messer; grandkids- James Broadley, Haley Glass, Andrew Broadley, Olivia Messer, Jaxson Messer, Nathen Messer, and Trevor Casey; great-grandson- Luka Jameson Price; along with many other family and friends.
There will be a visitation on Monday, January 6, 2020 from 4:00-6:00 PM at Trahan Family Funeral Home.
The service will be on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 beginning at 9:30 AM, followed by a procession at 10:30 to Barrancas National Cemetery where Michael will be laid to rest with the help of pallbearers: John Hewitt, Ron Owens, Chris Ledet, Chris Messer, James Broadley, and James Turner; and honorary pallbearers: Jaxson Messer, Andrew Broadley, Nathen Messer, and Trevor Casey.
