Von Christopher Smith, born March 10, 1939, passed away on December 5, 2019.
Von lived in Milton for thirty-four years, but was originally from Atlanta, Georgia. He grew up in Rowell, Georgia in a very close family, the youngest of six.
In 1957, Von graduated from Rowell Highschool and married Marie Gregory on November 4, 1959. They had two children together.
Von enjoyed going to Panama City with his family, square dancing, and bowling. He was involved in bowling leagues and senior dancing groups. Von was also a Scale Technician and a twenty-year RSVP volunteer (Retired Senior Volunteer Program).
Von was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Smith; parents; two brothers; and two sisters.
He is survived by one brother, Glenn Smith; two children, Dolores Faye Henry and Kenneth Eugene Smith; five grandchildren: Katrina Henry, Elisha Tomlinson, Robby Smith, Josh Smith, and Nicholas Henry; and seven great-grandchildren: Ray Tomlinson, Bella Tomlinson, Kaysen Pate, Taya Tomlinson, Ava Tomlinson, Bentley Henry, and Marley Henry.
