Thomas Len Springer

Thomas Len Springer was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on November 1, 1946 to David and Margaret Springer (nee Schad). He was the second of six children. He precedes his siblings Pam, Dan, Lonnie, Chris, and Perry in death. Tom died unexpectedly on November 26, 2019 at age 73.
Thomas was married to Sharon (nee Fucarelli) until the time of her passing in 2005. They had three daughters, Alisha Jean Springer (deceased), Muerinda Beyta Herrera, and Carrie Lynn Neff. He has five adult grandchildren: Ian, Kenny, Alexzandria, Isabel, and Emory.
Thomas leaves behind his longtime friend and his partner of 10 years, Betty Myers. The couple resided in Pensacola, Florida where Tom died at home peacefully.
Thomas served in the Marine Corps and the National Guard. He was an Electronics Technician for most of his working life. His interests included all things NASCAR, motorcycling, nature shows, carpentry, music, and travel. Tom was a patron of the World Wildlife Foundation, Defenders of Wildlife, and the Smithsonian Institute.
He adopted wolf hybrids during his life: Loki, Aulfin, Greystone, and Blanca. They brought him joy and he suffered greatly when each one died.
Thomas was a member of the Unitarian - Universalist Church of Pensacola (UUCP) and the Humanists of West Florida (HWF).
Tom's memorial will be held at UUCP, 9888 Pensacola Bouvard, on yet to be determined date in January 2020. It will be a joint service of UUCP and HWF. Call 850 366 3410 after Jan 1st for details.
