Gladys Conner Baggott, 99, of Milton passed away on November 25, 2019.
Gladys was born near Geneva, Alabama, the daughter of John Perry Conner and Fanny Sikes Conner. She grew up as a share cropper's daughter. The family moved to Allentown, Florida in the late 1930's where she met and married Albert, Sr. She was an army and later an air force wife when the U.S. Air Force was created.She worked as a cook in the Milton H.S. cafeteria until retirement. She attended North Side Baptist Church which became West Florida Baptist Church when it was moved to Hwy 90, from its inception until she was no longer physically able to attend. She was proud to say she was the oldest continuous member of that church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert J. Baggott, Sr. and daughter, Sharon Baggott Westmoreland.
Survivors include: her son, Albert Jr. (Karol); one full brother, J.W. Conner; eight half siblings, Z.Y., Carolyn, Richard, Jimmy, Frank, Barbara, Janie, and Ella; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. until the funeral service begins at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Trahan Family Funeral Home, Milton Chapel.
