David Lee Phillips, 69, was born in Troy, Alabama on August 13, 1949 to Robert Phillips and Virginia Rudd, he passed away on August 7, 2019.
He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Renee Ramos (Geovanny) their children Christopher, Javier, Estephanie, and Joaquin; his daughter, Tanda Marie Mason (Allen) their children Bryton, Cali, and Brayden; plus those he loved as his own, Teresa McCoy (Jim) their children Catherine and Jimmy, Tavis “TJ” Phillips (Anny) their child Alfre and Tabatha Kimmons (Mark) and their children Nicholas, Kiera and Leo.
He was a friend to all that he met. In his earlier years he was a jack of all trades. He worked construction, an orderly at the hospital, a bouncer at The Cove, he worked at the Nickelodeon arcade, multiple pawn shops and as a security guard.
All the kids thought of him as an adopted uncle/dad. He loved everyone and would help anyone no questions asked. He developed Alzheimer’s as he got older. His old friends became new his friends again when he would see them while he was at the grocery store or riding his bike in town. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
