Clyde Harvey Boyd, 81, lifelong resident of Jay, Florida, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, July 8, 2019, surrounded by his family after a short battle with cancer.
Harvey is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Bernice Boyd; children: son, Victor Boyd/Leah Roberts, daughter, Wanda Botts/Michael Botts, son, Curtis Boyd/Tracy Boyd, son, Michael Boyd; grandchildren, Brittany Johnson, Heather Galbreath, Jesse and Eli Boyd, Brandon and Madison Botts; one great grandchild, Roman Johnson; one brother, Robert C. Boyd; one sister, Elizabeth Tyler/Randy Tyler.
Harvey is preceded in death by his parents, Rusty and Zoe Boyd and one brother, Jack Boyd.
Harvey was born in San Diego, California and then moved to Fort Morgan, Colorado where he grew up and graduated from Fort Morgan High School. After graduating from high school, he joined the Air Force and was stationed at Eglin Air Force base in Fort Walton Beach, Florida where he met his future wife Bernice Stokes. They were married in 1960 and settled in Jay, Florida where they lived for 45 years and raised their family.
Harvey was a jack of all trades and in his early years worked as an insurance salesman, built houses/construction worker, worked as a crop duster, then he settled into a career of over the road truck driver.
Harvey was an avid fisherman, hunter and loved spending time outdoors. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Above all else Harvey loved God with all his heart and he loved his church and church family. He served the lord faithfully every Sunday by playing his guitar for praise and worship. Harvey was a devoted husband, father, paw paw and friend to many and will be dearly missed.

Funeral services will be held at Cornerstone Christian Church in Jay, Florida. Visitation will be Thursday, July 11th from 6:00 to 8:00. Funeral service will be Friday July 12th at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Pine Level Baptist Church Cemetery.
