Keith Carl Driessen, 44-year-old son of Karen and Wayne Driessen, Scotts Bluff, Nebraska, formerly of Drake and Velva, ND, died June 6, 2019.

Keith was born October 2, 1974, in Huron, SD, and was recently employed by Bell Helicopter in Navarre, Florida. Keith graduated from Century High School in Bismarck, ND, and then joined the Navy serving four years (1993-1997) and was deployed overseas. After his term in the Navy, Keith attended college at NDSU in Fargo, ND, and joined the Air National Guard known as the Happy Hooligans. He received his degree in Aero Dynamics and Engineering and accepted a job with Bell Helicopter out of Amarillo, TX. While in Amarillo, he transferred from the Happy Hooligans to the Air Guard in New Mexico. Keith later moved to Florida, where he continued working for Bell Helicopter and transferred to the Air Guard in Fort Worth, TX. He received many honors and medals while serving his country.

Keith loved spending time with his son, Kallon. He also spent time on the golf course and the beach with friends. His smile radiated wherever he went and his kindness to others was very special.

Lord, we thank you for the time we have had with Keith and we humbly ask that the pain pass quickly but the memory of Keith’s smile and love for family never fade.

Keith is survived by his son, Kallon; his parents, Karen and Wayne Driessen; his brother, Brandon; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Keith is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Hilary and Rose Bruner; paternal grandparents, Raymond and Barbara Driessen; and his sister, Brenda.

Urn carriers for Keith will be all of his good friends and family and he will be laid to rest at the Veterans Cemetery in Mandan, ND at a later date.

So many memories where do I begin. You were ALWAYS ready for fun, from concerts, to football games, cook- outs and hanging out on the beach. I can’t think of any time you turned down hanging out. Not only were you ready to make fun memories, you were there when needed. You had great advice and you were ALWAYS willing to listen. If there was anything anyone ever needed you’d do what could to help. You were there for me MANY a times. You’d listen when I needed to vent about my dating life. You’d give the best advice. You were there when I wasnt sure what to do when my son was being a crazy teenager and would yet again have amazing advice. You cared. You were sincere and were REAL! You.Were.A.Friend!!!!!!
You will be greatly missed. I love you buddy and I look forward to the day we meet again.
