Don Mackie Howe Sr.
September 30, 1951 - March 14, 2019
Don Mackie Howe, born on September 30, 1951 in Pensacola, FL was the son of Cecil Charles and Margaret Pauline Howe. He was the youngest of five brothers; Willard Loran Bethune, Nelson Howard Bethune, John Allen Bethune and Charles Cecil Howe. As a young child he lived between Pensacola and Tavares, FL until he joined the U. S. Navy. Wanting to fulfill a commitment of completing 20 years, he did just that. He had a passion for flying as a Petty Officer 1st Class Aviation electrician. He always dreamed of being a truck driver. He enjoyed going fishing, scuba diving, water skiing and camping. He had a great humor about him, he could tell jokes for hours. He had a kind and caring heart. He would help anybody, including strangers. Those lucky enough to have met this man knew that he would talk to a stranger just as he would a friend. He had wisdom, you just had to stop long enough to listen to what he was saying to understand his reasoning.
After a few marriages, Don finally found his true love Linda Howe, who thought the same as he did, laughed together, had the same goals. She made his life complete and filled his heart with love.
He had two children, Kimberly Sue Howe and Don Mackie Howe Jr.; six grandchildren, Katherine, Daniel, Johnathan, Alicia, Olivia and Wesley; two great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Laura.
Now he lays to rest with his brothers and sisters who share a Patriotic love for this country. As he goes to heaven, he joins his father and mother, his brothers, Willard and John and nephew Wesley.
