1955 - 2019
Rachel Elaine Biles was the loving daughter of Margaret Biles and the late Roscoe Stallworth. Her sun rose on June 5, 1955.
Early on, Rachel was affectionately called by her middle name Elaine which many of her loved ones affectionately called her Laine.
Elaine received her formal education in the Escambia County School District. After graduating Elaine met and married Garret “Gary” Grimes on September 28, 1974. To their union Elaine gave birth to the loves of her life, her beautiful daughters, Aisha and Kenya Grimes. During their marriage the family was able to travel and live abroad in countries like Taiwan and Turkey. One of her favorite places to live was Oklahoma. Eventually Elaine decided there’s no place like home and returned to Pensacola FL to raise her children.
Elaine began a career with the Escambia County School District where she retired from a in 2012.
In 2000 Elaine took on her proudest role “Grandmother” better known as Gran-Gran. Elaine was a loving and caring grandmother to her three granddaughters, Aiyanna, Ayneisha and Aleya.
Elaine also dedicated her time to caring for her mother. To have known her was to Love her.
Elaine’s sun set on March 1, 2019. She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving mother, Margaret Biles; husband, Garret “Gary” Grimes; daughters, Aisha Y. Grimes and Kenya Grimes; siblings, Cheryl Hurst, Joyce (Kenneth) Cosby, and Estee Spencer; grandchildren, Aiyanna R. Gulley, Ayneisha R. Grimes and Aleya R. Grimes; other siblings, Eugene, Bruce, Kelly, Roman, Angela, Roslin, Ethel, Clifford, Anthony, Larry, Tony, Thomas (dec.) and Roscoe Jr (dec.) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until funeral service begins at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 8, 2019 at Trahan Family Funeral Home, Pensacola with Rev. Steve Williams officiating.
