Hazel Lee, age 82, passed away Thursday, February 28th after a prolonged illness. Hazel was a life-long resident of Santa Rosa County. She was born in the parents’ home in Wallace, Florida (Clara Cody Harris Redd and Ernest Burgess Harris) who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Carolyn Harris and Barbara Ann Harris Ware; two brothers, Jerry Eugene Harris and Roger Wade Harris; and her late husband, I. B. Lewis.
She is survived by her husband, James F. Lee; her sons, Ronald Burgess Kilpatrick (His wife Heather Lea Kilpatrick) and Anthony Dewayne Kilpatrick; her step children, Melissa (Victor) White and Rhonda (Mike) Perry; her sister, Augustine Harris Russell; her grand-children, Breanna Kilpatrick Blackman and Katie Kilpatrick, step grand children, Annelise Perry and Chloe Perry; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Hazel was a loving person who shared her time, interests and patience with her family and friends. She was valedictorian of her class of 1954 at Chumuckla High School where she was also a cheerleader. She was part owner of Pace Sporting Goods in her younger years, working at the store. She enjoyed hobbies raising Chihuahua’s, beautician activities, sewing and baking cakes. She was a Christian and attended and taught Sunday School at Wallace Baptist Church for many years.
The family thanks the many family and friends who have been supportive during Hazel’s illness.

Visitation at Wallace Baptist Church is at the following time: Family visitation is at 9 AM, Public visitation at 10 AM with funeral services at 11 AM, all on March 2, 2019. Wallace Baptist Church is located at 5601 Chumuckla Hwy, Pace, FL 32571. Burial will follow the service at Elizabeth Chapel, 7792 Chumuckla Hey (County Road 197), Chumuckla, FL 32571.
