Danny E. Wall
(March 19, 1938 – December 30, 2018)
Danny E. Wall of Wasilla, Ak died peacefully on December 30, 2018. Danny was born in Indiana on March 19, 1938. He moved to Pensacola, Florida with his family when he was a young boy. Danny graduated from Pensacola High School where he played football and earned a scholarship to Mississippi Southern.
He lived in Pensacola until 1981 when he took a trip to Alaska and fell in love, Alaska filled his heart, and became his refuge and his home.
Danny invested his heart and soul into building his “off the grid” homestead; which became his life long project. His building materials were acquired from mother nature, his pets were moose, and other wild animals that roamed his property. He was far ahead of his time by building a solar powered home, and living off the grid.
Danny was a skilled craftsman, proud of his masonry work which is located all over Alaska and the “lower 48.”
He loved all things outdoors and enjoyed building structures, hunting with his buddies, ice fishing, building airplanes, and learning to fly gyrocopters. He also enjoyed carving, and creating folk art.
Danny is preceded in death by his parents, Katherine (Miss Katie) and James C. (J.C.) Wall Jr; his brother, Paul Wall.
Danny’s memory will be cherished by his children, Debbie Roudabush (Ron Ward), Donna DeHart (Mike), David Wall (Susan); his sister, Dinah Mae Arner; his Alaskan family, Patricia Ryan- Stone and her husband Jack Stone.
He loved his grandchildren, Ashley Allegretto (Nic), Sean DeHart (Melissa), Ali Roudabush, Kyle Wall (Alex) Britt Ward, and niece Mercedes Arner: and nephew, Aaron Arner.
He has 4 great grandchildren Maximus, Malcolm, Simon, and Andrew.
He also bids farewell to his Florida Waffle House friends Sonny, Buddy, and Bennie along with the many Alaskans who were dear to his heart.
