Obituary for James Griffin

James  Griffin
James A Griffin, 81, of Pensacola, FL passed away Saturday, May 19, 2018. He was born August 5, 1936 to Allen and Beatrice Griffin in Frink, FL. He graduated from Frink High School then joined the United States Marine Corps. After leaving the Marines, he worked as an insulator. On August 21, 1961 he married Margaret Earline Lind in Brewton, AL. James enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

James is survived by: his two sons: Allen Griffin of Pensacola, FL and Harold Griffin and his wife Nancy of Tamarac, FL; his daughter: Mary Potter of Pensacola, FL; six grandchildren: Valerie Lasure, Jessica Price, Vanessa Vasquez, James Potter, Cindy Beltran and Ashlee Griffin; nine great grandchildren: Aydin Lasure, Makayla Price, Anthony Potter, Lane Price, Lucrisha Potter, Matteo Vergara, Kaylee Jordan, Noah Beltran, and Liam Beltran; three brothers: Carl Griffin, Lawrence Griffin, and Jimmy Griffin: two sisters, Elease Adkins and Clarice Griffin; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Allen and Beatrice Griffin; his wife, Earline Griffin; four brothers: Charlie Griffin, William H Griffin, Dewey Griffin and Harold “Duby” Griffin and an infant sister Willie Mae Griffin.

A time of gathering will be held Friday, May 25, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Trahan Family Funeral Home in Pensacola, FL. Services for James will be held at Cypress Creek Baptist Church in Kinard, FL Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 3:00 pm. James will be laid to rest in the Cypress Creek Baptist Cemetery.
