Joseph Yancy Brown Booher (Brownie)
Brownie was born August 23rd, 1949 in Dunbar, WV, the youngest of 4 children. He grew up in Dunbar, went to Dunbar High School, and later lived in St. Albans. Brownie lived for a short time in Michigan, with his brother Patrick, who was in the USAF and stationed there with his family, before returning to St. Albans where he spent most of his life.
In the summer of 1969 he married the woman he loved, Vada Ball and together they had 2 children, Tracy and Greg. When he was 42, Brownie and his family moved to Pensacola, FL to be closer to his brother and sister where he lived until his death. His wife and family were by his side as he passed, at 5:01 pm June 9th, 2017 at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola.
Brownie is preceded in death by his parents Othie and Berenice Booher and his sister Mary Joe.
He is survived by his wife, Vada; daughter, Tracy and her husband Dennis; son, Greg and his wife Rita; brother, Patrick and his wife Marlene; sister, Larkie; grandchildren, Stefan, Yancy, Haley; and great grandchild, Adalia.
Brownie worked hard his entire life to support the family he loved, he was a loyal and honest man, a wonderful father and loving husband. Brownie was loved by many and will be missed by all including his numerous nieces, nephews, and everyone who met him.
