Obituary for Mary Ethel Brown

Mary Ethel Brown
Mary E. Brown, 86, went home to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ, on June 10, 2017.
Mary was a member of Pace Assembly of God Church for the past 38 years. Prior to her illness, Mary was a Volunteer Greeter and active in many Women’s Ministries. Mary enjoyed visiting the shut-ins at several local nursing homes. Mary’s first love was for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, her husband, her children, and family. Mary lived a life of obedience and holiness.
Mary was preceded in death by: her parents, John Leamon and Ethel Garrett; three brothers, Ottis Garrett, Randall Garrett, and Earl Garrett; and one grandson, Shawn A. Elliott.
She leaves behind: the love of her life and husband of 66 years, Clarence L. Brown; her three children, Marilyn R. Perry (Bill) of Pensacola, Janet E. Whitt (David) of Pace, and C. Steve Brown of Pensacola. Mary and Clarence were blessed with eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Wayne R. Garrett, Sr. (Sylvia) of DeFuniak Springs, FL; one sister, Hilda E. Milam of Pace; and many beloved friends and family.
Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton is entrusted with arrangements.
Visitation will be from 12 noon until funeral service begins at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Pace Assembly of God Church.
Burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be: Steve Brown, Bill Perry, Jaden Starkey, Carl Wilson, Frank Thrasher, and Dwaine Grant.
Mary loved everyone and never met a stranger. She will be deeply missed by her husband, family, and friends.
