The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Michael Corbin can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Michael Edward "Mike" Corbin

Michael Edward Corbin
February 18, 1945 - March 17, 2017

Mike Corbin had gone to be with his lord and savior on Friday, March 17, 2017. He was born in Selma, AL to Lurlean Strickland and James Weeden on February 18, 1945. Throughout his life, he made many relations with many people and never failed to bring a smile to their faces.
He loved to go fresh water fishing, never afraid to get his hands dirty at the river. Most of his fishing was done at his favorite camp at the Alabama River. He also, liked to make walking sticks and listen to gospel music.
In 1963, Mike graduated from Pensacola High School with his beloved wife Jean Corbin. After Mike and Jean graduated high school they got married on December 28, 1964. Fifty-three years ago, Mike married the love of his life. He was a caring father to his two children, loving grandfather to his four grandchildren, and a beloved great grandfather to his three great grandchildren.
Mike is preceded in death by his mother, Lurlean Strickland; father, James Weeden; and brother, William Corbin.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jean Corbin; two amazing children Deanna Gibson-Clark (Keith), Ronald Corbin (Sharon); grandchildren Rebecca Corbin, James Corbin, Amber Gibson, Brittney Gibson; great grandchildren, James Bentley, Serenity Doshia Ann, Chevy Michelle; and his Brother Danny Weeden.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 20, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with the service to follow right after. There will be a graveside service held the same day at 3:00 p.m. at Pensacola Memorial Gardens.
